About

Annemarie has a passion for teaching–teaching children and teaching teachers.  It is for this reason that she spends her time working alongside teachers in and out of classrooms–coaching, model teaching, and presenting seminars and workshops.  She considers herself a “teacher’s teacher.”  She believes that her mission is to

                                                       grow readers,

                                                                              cultivate writers,

                                                                                                          and empower teachers.

Teaching Experience
Annemarie has been an educator for 26 years.  She is a former classroom teacher who taught for ten years in an elementary school in the Canton City School District in Canton, Ohio and  five years just south of Akron, Ohio  in the Green Local School District.  During her last year in the classroom she began to wear two professional hats–elementary teacher and educational consultant for the Bureau of Education and Research (BER).  After  moving from Ohio to Michigan, she began to focus more exclusively on consulting.  During this time she has had the opportunity to travel  across the United States and Canada and even Haiti to work with thousands of teachers.

Personal
Annemarie lives in southeast Michigan with her husband and three children.  Together they enjoy traveling the country to explore its many beautiful sites.
