Classroom Management
Classroom Management and Organization
I once heard a presenter say, “The teaching is in the details.” That statement has stuck with me and I believe it is so true. We may have the best lessons planned, but with out procedures, routines, and good organization, our teaching will not be effective. As Rebecca and Harry Wong say in their book The First Days of School, “What you do on the first days of school will determine your success or failure for the rest of the year. Knowing how to structure a first day of school will set the stage for an effective classroom and a successful school year.” So much goes into planning for those first few days, and much of it has nothing to do with reading, writing, or math. On this page I list links to my own tips on classroom management and organization.
