A school librarian in Cincinnati shared an idea that she uses to encourage a love of poetry. Donning a police officer’s cap and holding a stop sign, she enters a classroom unannounced and declares that it is time for a “Poetry Stop”. She reads or recites a poem to the class and then quietly leaves.
